My heritage is heavily steeped in hispanic influence. My mother is Guatemalan. My father is American of German-Hungarian heritage, but raised in an hispanic household. Born and raised in Southern California, I spent many weekends in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria. Inspired by the Spanish Colonial style prevalent in these areas, I designed Presidio. Presidio's stylized serifs take reference from historical painted signage and printed artifacts seen around Southern California and Guatemala.
